Common questions
- Do you take a cut of every sale?
- Yes — a per-sale platform fee. Starter is 8%, Pro is 5%, Label is 3%, Enterprise is negotiated (often 0%). On top of that, paid plans charge a flat monthly fee. There are no per-track upload fees and no monthly sales minimums.
- Who owns the masters / rights?
- You do. MN360 Studio is a platform, not a label. The terms have no rights assignment, no exclusivity, no minimum term. You can export your catalog as CSV any time and walk.
- Can I bring my own domain?
- Pro and above. Add a CNAME pointing to the platform, set the `custom_domain` in your label settings, SSL provisions automatically in minutes. Free Starter labels run on a `*.mn360studio.com` subdomain.
- What's the AI actually doing?
- Releases get a launch-plan draft (timeline + outreach targets + asset list). Curators get personalized pitches scored by fit. Replies get classified (accept / reject / "send more"). Social posts get drafted in your label voice. Sync briefs get matched to your catalog. You review and approve every outbound action.
- What about distribution to Spotify, Apple Music, etc.?
- MN360 Studio is a direct-to-fan licensing platform, not a distributor. Use any distributor you like (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby, etc.) for DSP delivery — the platform doesn't lock you in. MN360 tracks AI disclosure metadata per track so you're ready when DSPs enforce compliance requirements, and the royalty ledger tracks splits and payouts across your catalog.
- How does sync licensing work?
- Every track gets an AI-generated sync one-sheet PDF (BPM, mood, vocal type, use cases, writer splits, contact). Your `/sync` page lets supervisors filter the catalog. Briefs come in through `/sync-briefs`, AI matches them to 3-5 tracks, you approve before a response goes out. Direct license / sample-clearance / exclusive flows all generate the right PDF and Stripe payment link.
